protect wandering homes. Branches shiver with goosebumps trying to warm the ground with glorious death. The breeze runs its claws through unmowed grass bleeding crystal dew. Speckled cobblestones hold on to the last of the day’s sunshine like dying fireflies. Gutters overflow with silence and the stars try to hide in the darkness because they see no beauty in the night.
